Salzgitter Group has taken the next step in its active portfolio management and has sold Klöckner DESMA Elastomertechnik GmbH to the German-French industrial group NAME & MAWI Partners S.A.S. (NMP). The transaction is expected to be completed in autumn 2026. Wendelstein advised Salzgitter Group in connection with the sale.

Klöckner DESMA Elastomertechnik GmbH, headquartered in Fridingen in Baden-Württemberg, is part of Salzgitter Group’s Technology business unit. Since 1965, the company has been manufacturing innovative injection moulding machines for rubber and silicone products. With more than 500 employees worldwide, Klöckner DESMA Elastomertechnik offers complete production solutions, consisting of mould and cold runner systems as well as customized automation systems. Its systems are used, among other sectors, in the automotive, power distribution, power generation, raw materials extraction, infrastructure, medical technology and white goods industries.
Salzgitter AG, which is listed on the MDAX, is one of Europe’s leading steel and technology companies with external sales of EUR 9 billion and more than 24,000 employees in financial year 2025. The Group has an annual capacity of around 7 million tonnes of crude steel and comprises more than 130 subsidiaries and associated companies.
NMP is a German-French industrial group headquartered in Weil der Stadt near Stuttgart and in Strasbourg, France. NMP comprises ten companies with around 500 employees.
