ASSA ABLOY has acquired Kentix GmbH, a leading company in digital and IoT access and monitoring solutions for data centers. The company is based in Idar-Oberstein and has around 50 employees.
The merger opens up new opportunities for Kentix in an international environment: access to global markets, expanded resources and ASSA ABLOY's strong sales network will enable Kentix to offer its innovative solutions even more specifically and broadly in the future.
Thomas Fritz, Managing Director of Kentix, sees the integration as an important step towards the future and sustainable growth: “There are already strong similarities between Kentix and ASSA ABLOY. The integration will open up new markets and additional sales opportunities for us within the global group. As part of ASSA ABLOY, we can combine the strengths of both companies and offer our customers even more comprehensive solutions in the future. At the same time, we are creating additional resources and development opportunities for our employees in the long term.”
ASSA ABLOY also sees the acquisition as a strategically important step to expand its product portfolio in the field of digital security solutions for data center applications.
Achim Haberstock, SVP & Head of Central Europe at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions EMEIA, emphasizes: “We are very pleased to welcome Kentix to our team. Kentix stands for technological excellence, agility and outstanding customer solutions – it is precisely these strengths that we want to preserve and scale in a targeted manner.”
David Moser, SVP & Head of Digital and Access Solutions at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions EMEIA, adds: “With the acquisition of Kentix, ASSA ABLOY strengthens its product portfolio in the field of digital security solutions for data center applications – both in Germany and in the entire EMEIA region.”
With an expanded management structure and the existing team, Kentix remains on course for growth and continues the successful development of recent years. Nothing will change for the employees – the location in Idar-Oberstein will remain the same.
