Wendelstein is pleased to announce the promotion of Vanessa Trixi David to Partner, effective 1 January 2026, and Dr. Mirco Schmutzler to Counsel, effective 1 August 2025.
Vanessa and Mirco are exceptionally talented and are outstanding team players. They are an extremely valuable part of the Wendelstein team, both professionally and personally. Wendelstein congratulates them warmly and looks forward to continuing the successful collaboration with them.
Vanessa studied at the Universities of Frankfurt am Main and Milan. She completed her LL.M. at the University of Münster and began her professional career at an international commercial law firm. She has been with Wendelstein since 2015. Her areas of expertise include advising on national and international M&A transactions and the full spectrum of commercial real estate law. She also focuses on joint ventures as well as private equity and venture capital investments. Most recently, she advised the Vogel and Mathiasen families on the sale of the majority of their shares in the VOGEL-BAUER Group to MKM Holding GmbH, and NFON AG on the acquisition of botario GmbH.
Mirco studied at the Universities of Kiel and Heidelberg. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Heidelberg and an LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London. He started his career as a lawyer at Wendelstein in 2017. He advises on dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration. His practice focuses on post-M&A disputes, disputes involving stock corporations, complex financial law disputes and fund-related disputes.
